TotoRegister is a digital attendance system that is designed to take daily attendance of students in Kenya, especially in areas at high risk for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). The system was designed and authored by Mack Muthomi Marangu in 2022 and was incubated at Enlightened Generation International in Tharaka Nithi County, Kenya.

OUR INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY
The system utilizes a mobile app that allows teachers to import student lists, mark attendance, and transmit the data securely to a backend server. The system is capable of analyzing the attendance data by age cluster and geographic proximity to generate alerts that may indicate a risk of FGM. The system also integrates with the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS) and the National Health Management Information System (NHMIS) to provide a more comprehensive view of the data.
